There are many ways to reach out to those in our St. Mark's community.
Circle of Concern
Each Sunday, we select a name from our list of people who may no longer be physically able to attend worship on a regular basis. We mention their name at prayer time in worship services. That week the pastors pray for that person and send a card to let them know they are not forgotten. Some of these people have communion served on Mondays following our communion Sunday. Contact the church office, 317-846-4912, if you have questions.
Parish Health Ministry

Parish Care Meals
Provides meals to families in time of need. If you are interested in being part of this ministry please click here.
If you are contacted to provide a meal, please respond within a 24 hour period to the coordinator. Many of our requests are time sensitive. Your timeliness makes our job a little easier. Please try to use disposable containers or containers you do not need returned. If they do need to be returned, please assure they have your name on them. If you cannot make a homemade meal, picking up a ham or chicken at the store along with a few sides can also work. The people needing meals are grateful for whatever can be provided. Always call the recipient to set up a drop off time to assure that someone will be there.
Prayer Chain
This email ministry provides prayer support on behalf of those in need. Requests for prayers can be sent to the church by submitting a prayer request. Requests can be shared with the prayer chain, the congregation during worship and/or staff. If you would like to become a member of the prayer chain and provide prayer support for those in need please send an email to prayers@stmarkscarmel.org.
Prayer Shawl Ministry
This ministry uses the care and love of knitting, crocheting, weaving and quilting and combines it with a prayerful outreach to those in need of comfort and solace. We are always looking for new members and are happy to teach anyone interested in learning and provide supplies if needed. We would love to have any men that knit or crochet join as well. We also welcome members who would like to make shawls but can't make the meetings. The group meets every other month on the third Tuesday. Contact Judy Bonnet for more information. Prayer Squares
Using traditional quilt patterns, the squares are a tangible sign of connection and encouragement. A cross is sewn inside as a reminder of God’s constancy, love and grace.The Prayer Squares are available at the Welcome Center in the Narthex. If you or someone you know could use this tangible symbol of support and prayer you are invited to take one as a gift or to share with someone else.

New Mother Ministry
This team of volunteers takes turns delivering a basket filled with a variety of items – coffee mugs, teas, lotions, candles, soaps, and layette items (bibs, spoons, onesies, sippy cups, hats, small blankets, rattles) – to the new St. Mark’s mom. Along with the filled basket, the rose from the altar is included in the delivery. Are you interested in being a part of this ministry? Volunteers are needed to deliver baskets during a designated month and to donate items for the baskets. Click here to volunteer.
