SOUP'S ON AT ROBERTS PARK
The Roberts Park United Methodist Church Soup’s On ministry provides a wonderful opportunity for us to carry out Jesus’ command to “feed the hungry.” Each Sunday, volunteers at Roberts Park serve lunch to about 225 homeless persons and others in need in downtown Indianapolis.
How can you be involved?
- Provide food for the lunch.
- Join others from St. Mark’s to help serve lunch for those less fortunate.
(Meet at St. Mark’s at 9:15 a.m., & return around 2:30 PM).

BLOOD DRIVES
You can help save a life by donating blood. It is safe, simple and takes less than an hour. Healthy individuals age 16 and older can lend an arm to help.

HAMILTON COUNTY KID'S COATS
Hamilton County Kids Coats is a collaborative effort between many churches & community partners whose goal is to make sure all Hamilton Co. families stay warm in winter. St. Mark's collects winter coats and winter-wear (hats, mittens, gloves, snow pants, boots) for HCKC. We need clean coats in good condition and in all sizes – from infant to adult XXL, as kids come in all sizes! If your child has outgrown his coat or if you are ready to pass your coat on to someone else, please wash it and bring it to St. Mark's. The 2017 coat giveaways served about 500 families and we will continue to help families at the Merciful Help Center through the end of winter. Volunteers are needed throughout the year to sort coats at the Kids Coats warehouse in Carmel. Visit KidsCoats.org for more information and to volunteer.
family promise/IHN - FEBRUARY MISSION FOCUS
Interfaith Hospitality Network, the hallmark program of Family Promise, is a partnership of congregations and community organizations responding to the crisis of children & their families who are homeless. Family Promise, our February mission focus, provides emergency food & shelter, offers individual skill development & rehabilitation, advocates for economic stability and strives to end homelessness for the guests they serve. the mustard seed of central indiana
“If you have faith the size of a
mustard seed, you can move mountains.” The Mustard Seed is helping veterans,
the homeless, victims of natural disaster, low-income families and the elderly
rebuild their lives by providing kitchen supplies, furniture, linens, and other
household items. This non-profit organization was
established in 1984 in Central Florida as the result of one woman’s faith to
care for people regardless of race, creed or social status and has just completed their first year in Indiana. They take in gently used furniture and household items and work with partner agencies to help clients who have suffered a tragedy or set-back and are working towards a goal. St. Mark’s collects household items and takes them on a regular basis to their Fisher’s warehouse. Please place your donated items in the blue bin in Wesley Hall. Volunteers are needed on Mondays and Wednesdays anytime 9:00 a.m.-4:30 p.m. to organize and sort items, help deliver furniture, or work in the office. GOOD SAMARITAN NETWORK - JULY MISSION FOCUS
The mission of Good Samaritan Network is to demonstrate the unconditional love of Christ by serving the physical, financial and emotional needs of under-served individuals and families in Hamilton County. They serve people in need through the empowerment of member ministries and church and community partners. Financial donations to Good Samaritan Network may be given using the white mission envelope in your Sunday bulletin in July or given online.
Good Samaritan Network and Gleaners Food Bank are teaming up to provide food to people in need. Volunteers are needed to help monthly in Noblesville and quarterly in Cicero and Sheridan. For more information, contact Liz Rix at 317-846-4912 or visit the GSN website.

Habitat for Humanity is a nonprofit, ecumenical Christian organization dedicated to eliminating substandard housing and homelessness and to making adequate affordable shelter a matter of conscience and action. THE GLEANING GARDEN IN CARMEL
The Gleaning Garden on the Monon Trail grows and gives away fresh, locally grown, organic food. In doing so, the Gleaning Garden serves as a demonstration of life in community and relationship to one another, to nature, and to God in a meaningful way. Food grown in the garden is given away to local food pantries. By serving the last with the first fruits, they strive to proclaim the Kingdom of Heaven here on Earth. BRIGHTWOOD COMMUNITY CENTER - AUGUST MISSION FOCUS
Brightwood Community Center is dedicated helping the children in their neighborhood by providing the following at little or no cost: After School Enrichment (grades K-8, Mon.–Thurs., 3:45-6:00 p.m.), Summer Camp, and Parent Empowerment classes. EAST TENTH UNITED METHODIST CHILDREN & YOUTH CENTER - may mission focus
East Tenth serves children & families on Indianapolis’ Near Eastside, providing quality care and education regardless of a parent’s ability to pay. They have a sliding scale and during April St. Mark's collects monetary donations that go to help subsidize parent payments, allowing parents to work. Click here to find out more.
FLETCHER PLACE COMMUNITY CENTER - april mission focus
Fletcher Place Community Center has been serving their most vulnerable neighbors since 1872. Their roots are in the United Methodist Church, as they began as an outreach of a local church. They provide the support, help and encouragement some families need to overcome financial struggles utilizing a small staff and thousands of volunteer hours each year.Local Food Pantries
